Frequently Asked Questions

1. What areas do you service in Oklahoma?

Catalyst Mechanical & Electrical proudly serves customers throughout the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metro areas, including: Moore, Norman, Edmond, Midwest City, Del City, Yukon, Mustang, Bethany, Warr Acres, Nichols Hills, Newcastle, Tuttle, Blanchard, Choctaw, Harrah, Noble, Goldsby, Broken Arrow, Bixby, Jenks, Owasso, Sand Springs, Sapulpa, Glenpool, Collinsville, Claremore, Coweta, Catoosa, and surrounding areas.

2. Do you offer both residential and commercial services?

Absolutely. Catalyst Mechanical & Electrical provides reliable heating, cooling, and electrical services for both homes and businesses across Oklahoma — from small repairs to large-scale installations.

3. How quickly can you come out for service or emergencies?

Emergencies are prioritized by carefully assessing the situation and working it into our schedule as quickly as possible. We take into consideration any health or medical concerns, as well as current weather conditions, to ensure urgent issues are handled promptly and safely.

4. How often should I have my HVAC system serviced?

We recommend scheduling maintenance twice a year — once in the spring for your cooling system and once in the fall for your heating system. Regular tune-ups help catch small issues before they turn into costly repairs, improve efficiency, and extend the life of your equipment — especially with Oklahoma’s extreme temperature swings. Joining our upcoming Catalyst Comfort Club will make staying on top of maintenance even easier.

5. What are signs my AC or furnace needs repair?

Common signs that your heating or cooling system may need attention include weak or uneven airflow, unusual noises, inconsistent temperatures, higher-than-normal energy bills, frequent cycling on and off, and unexpected water around your equipment. If you notice any of these issues, it’s best to call Catalyst before a minor problem turns into a major repair — early intervention can save time, money, and keep your home or business comfortable year-round.

6. What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, debit/credit, and some payment apps. Please note that debit/credit payments may incur a small service fee.

7. What’s included in the Catalyst Comfort Club?

While the Comfort Club is still being finalized, it may include things such as heating and cooling system maintenance, spring and fall full system tune-ups, priority scheduling with guaranteed service within 24 hours, no emergency or after-hours fees, annual whole-home electrical safety inspections, free panel and surge protection checks, and priority service on electrical repairs and installations. Membership benefits are designed to help keep your home or business comfortable and protected year-round.

8. Can I join the Comfort Club even if Catalyst didn’t install my system?

Absolutely — we service all makes and models of HVAC and electrical systems. Whether your equipment is new or older, the Comfort Club helps keep it running at its best.

9. What electrical services do you provide?

Catalyst Mechanical & Electrical offers a full range of electrical services, including fixture replacement, ceiling fan installation, outlet and switch repair, lighting upgrades, panel replacements, circuit troubleshooting, generator installation, wiring for remodels and new construction, surge protection, and other general electrical maintenance and repair services.

10. How can I tell if my electrical panel needs to be upgraded?

Signs that your electrical panel may need an upgrade include flickering or dimming lights, frequently tripped breakers, burning smells, or an outdated fuse box. Upgrading your panel can improve safety, support additional appliances or HVAC systems, and ensure your electrical system meets current insurance and code requirements. If you notice any of these issues, it’s best to have a licensed technician inspect your panel promptly.

11. Do you install or service whole-home generators?

Yes, Catalyst installs and services whole-home standby generators, with a focus on Generac products, our preferred brand. Generators provide reliable power during storms or outages, helping keep your home or business comfortable and operational. Our team can recommend the right size and setup for your property and handle all installation and ongoing maintenance to ensure your system runs smoothly when you need it most.

12. What warranties or guarantees do you offer on your work?

Catalyst stands behind all work with manufacturer warranties on equipment, service, and installation. In addition, we offer JB Warranties coverage that goes beyond standard manufacturer protections. Our commitment is to quality, safety, and ensuring that your systems are properly installed and maintained for reliable performance.
